Abstract—It has become increasingly difficult to ensure consistency between all artifacts in complex software applications, and manage the impact of their development throughout the development process. Computer assistance in detecting and resolving inconsistency issues can help improve the quality of designs and development of software. In this article, we propose a unified approach to representation of different heterogeneous artifacts and a uniform formalism to express methodological consistency rules based on traces of construction and we validated our approach by building a check engine in order to detect inconsistency.
